The new Yonex Aerus Z Cyan Men achieves both lightness and stability. Each generation of the AERUS series keeps pushing the boundaries of lightness.
This new model of the now 5th generation is Yonex's lightest badminton shoe ever, weighing only 240 grams per shoe (men's size 41 shoe). These shoes have been slimmed down by using a new sole made of Feather Light X, a material that is 12% lighter while generating more repulsion than previous AERUS models.
A key ingredient for stability is a reliable grip. The grip pattern of the sole has been redesigned to create the RADIAL BLADE SOLE. By arranging a fine windmill shape that combines areas of large and small notches, the weight of the shoe is dispersed and grip is improved by about 3%. This results in grip that supports quick reactions and sudden stops.
The sole of the AERUS Z is built with Power Graphite Sheet, a carbon plate that prevents twisting of the foot and improves stability during the most strenuous movements. In conjunction with POWER CUSHION, absorbed impact force is converted into propulsive force to help you take the next step.

Double Raschel Mesh : Double Raschel Mesh is an ultra fine mesh that is extremely lightweight and durable. It provides eight times more air-exchange for releasing moisture than ordinary mesh fabric.

Durable Skin Light : Combining rubber-like flexibility with the stiffness of hard plastic, the polyurethane-based Durable Skin Light lets you play light on your feet while maintaining a robust fit.

Syncro-Fit Insole : YONEX new Synchro-Fit Insole construction allows a closer fit between shoe and foot, keeping power loss to an absolute minimum to achieve smoother movement and quicker footwork.Fig1. Compared to conventional footwear, the mid to heel area on the insole is lifted to provide a closer-fit between shoe and foot.Fig2. By holding the heel more firmly against the insole, the gap between shoe and foot is reduced, improving comfort and ensuring the foot does not slip forwards inside the shoe.
